Kirani qualifies for Semi-Finals

Kirani ran his opening heat this morning placing 3rd with a time of 44.66 which was an automatic qualifier to the semi-finals. Based on the times ran in the heats which ranged from 43.90 to 44.50 he will be hard press to make another World Champs finals since some semis will be fast and athletes may have to run sub-44 to get to the finals. There are 3 heats in the semis and the top 2 go through automatically from each heat and the next 2 fastest times overall will get to the finals.

Semis will be tough but if he can pull of a sub-44 he may get to finals.
